COVID 19 Update – Harbor Oaks Boat Ramp Closing

Effective today, Monday March 30, the Harbor Oaks boat ramp will be closed to all users until further notice. A chain and padlock will be installed at the boat ramp gate this afternoon to eliminate boat ramp access. Cameras are already in place to discourage attempts to disable the lock or gate mechanism. Rockport Police have been notified to issue citations as necessary to prevent destruction of Harbor Oaks POA property.
In light of the rapid spread of the COVID 19 virus, Harbor Oaks HOA is aligning itself with the local cities and surrounding counties to discourage visitors and unnecessary traffic at boat ramps, bait stands, fuel depots, and grocery stores.
Admittedly, this measure will cause some temporary inconvenience and is being taken only in an abundance of caution and in the interest of safety for the area residents and Harbor Oaks property owners.
For Harbor Oaks residents with boats already in the water and those wishing to remove their watercraft, Harbor Oaks will make arrangements for a one time appointment to open the boat ramp gate for a short period of time.
Sincerely,
Warren Hassinger, presidentHarbor Oaks Property Owners Association
